Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your Waem CVs

Claude and ChatGPT can work on your Waem CVs without you pasting them into the chat. You connect an account once for each app. After that, the chat can list the pages you already have, open one, create another, and save an edit back to Waem.

The chat writes. Waem keeps the pages. A connector only sees the CVs on the account you sign in with. Connecting Claude does not connect ChatGPT, and connecting ChatGPT does not connect Claude.

The address

Both apps use this address. Name the connector Waem. Waem then asks for the email on your account and sends a six-digit code. Enter all six digits. When the code is accepted, the browser returns you to the chat that opened the sign-in.

Sign in on Waem

Claude and ChatGPT both open the same Waem page. The buttons on that page are Email me a code, Connect, and Send a new code.

1. Use the email on your Waem account.
2. Press Email me a code.
3. Open that email. The code is six digits. Enter the digits only.
4. The page checks the code when the sixth digit is in. You can also press Connect.
5. If the code does not match, the digits stay on the page. Press Send a new code. That button works even when the field is empty.
6. When the code is accepted, the button says Checking and the browser leaves for the chat that opened this page.
7. If the page stays on Checking, reload it, send a new code, and enter the new digits.

Add it in Claude

Do this on claude.ai in a browser. The connector is added once for that Claude account.

1. Open Customize.
2. Open Connectors.
3. Choose Add custom connector.
4. Name it Waem.
5. Paste the address above. Keep the https.
6. Claude checks the address and opens the Waem sign-in. Finish the steps under Sign in on Waem.
7. Claude brings you back. The connector is on.
8. In a chat, ask Claude to use Waem. If it answers without opening a CV, confirm Waem is enabled in Connectors.
9. To stop it, open Customize, then Connectors, and disconnect Waem. Your CVs stay in Waem.

Add it in ChatGPT

Do this on chatgpt.com in a browser. The phone app does not add a custom connector. Developer mode has to be on first. Listing and opening work on plans that allow a custom connector. Creating a page and saving an edit need ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu. Pro can connect for reading. On Business, only an admin or owner can turn developer mode on. On Enterprise and Edu, an admin allows it, then you turn it on for your account.

Turn on developer mode

1. On Business, open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and enable Developer mode. An admin can also open Workspace settings, then Apps, then Create, and enable it there.
2. On Enterprise or Edu, an admin allows it under Workspace settings, then Permissions and Roles, then Connected Data. Then open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and turn developer mode on.
3. On Pro, open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and turn developer mode on. That connection can list and open CVs.

Create the ChatGPT app

1. Open Settings, then Apps, then Create. An admin can use Workspace settings, then Apps, then Create.
2. Name it Waem.
3. Paste the address above.
4. When ChatGPT asks how the app authenticates, choose sign-in. Waem does not use an API key.
5. Press Scan tools. Complete the Waem sign-in when it opens.
6. Wait until the scan finishes. The tools cover list, open, create, update, and duplicate.
7. Press Create. The app is saved. It can show a Dev label until a workspace admin publishes it.
8. Open a new chat. Select Waem from the tools menu, or mention Waem, before you ask it to touch a CV. Mention it again when a later message needs a new read or a save.
9. ChatGPT may ask you to confirm a save. Approve it when the edit is the one you asked for.
10. To stop it, disable or remove Waem under Settings, then Apps. Your CVs stay in Waem.

What you can ask

• List my CVs.
• Open this one and tighten the summary for a role I paste.
• Create a CV in Arabic or English, on the standard, panel, banner, or Ministry of Public Health template.
• Duplicate a CV so the source stays as it is.
• Save the edit and give me the link.

The chat should edit the page it read, then save that full page back. It should not invent a job, a date, or a skill you did not give it. If a line is not already true, leave it out. Duplicate first when you want the original kept.

Bring an old CV

Paste the file you already have, even if it is one long page. Ask the chat to put it into Waem: the name, the roles, the dates, and the lines that were already there. It should not add a job that was not in the file.

Translate the page

Ask for Arabic or English. Both should tell the same career. A date stays a date. A title you held stays a title you held. The chat translates the wording, not the life.

Aim it at one role

Paste the job. Ask for a copy aimed at it, so the original stays. The chat keeps the lines this reader needs and leaves out the ones they will not use. It does not invent a skill to fill a gap.

A first CV

If you are starting out, give the study, the project, the shift, the course. Ask for a first page from that, on a template you name. A graduation project can lead. An invented job title cannot.

What it will not do

• Delete a CV, or the account.
• Export the PDF. Open the page in Waem for that.
• Open a CV on someone else’s account.
• Run the assistant inside Waem. That assistant still runs only when you ask it there.

What stays yours

Disconnect the connector in Claude, or remove the app in ChatGPT, when you want that chat to stop reaching your CVs. The text it already read stays in that conversation. Waem does not keep a copy of the chat.

Open a CV in Waem whenever you want to see the page that was saved. The link the chat returns is the same editor you already use.
